The Delta Stewardship Council is charged with protecting the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and the critical role it serves in the water supply for millions of Californians and its unique ecosystem and way of life.

"'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code §85054)
Third staff draft Delta Plan released April 22nd, 2011
The third staff draft Delta Plan has been released. This draft, the third of seven, will be discussed at the next meeting of the Delta Stewardship Council on April 28-29.
